Jason was very prompt in coming out to review our project and give us an estimate. Additionally, he was very helpful in finalizing our landscaping plans and responded quickly to our email questions concerning the bid. His bid price was in the middle of the bids we received, but based on our research the bid seemed very reasonable. That and his willingness to help us to get to a final landscaping design we were happy with made the difference. His work crew was very professional and efficient, showing up each day promptly and cleaning up thoroughly each day after work. The crew worked extremely hard and was very friendly. Jeremy (the foreman) always took time to explain the daily work plan/schedule and answered any questions we had.

Jason’s team is always professional. They are very responsive to our requests. Even when there are issues that arose (he helped us discovered that the drainage system that was constructed was not to plan as recorded by the council’s documentation), he would take the extra time to help us deal with the city council as well as to our builder (and fixed a broken pipe for free, which was really the builder’s fault).
Going that extra yard is why we’re so happy with their service and we would recommend their service to anyone who wants the peace of mind knowing that their landscaping job will be done with care and professionalism.

We were very pleased with the service and results. We went with Hone as Jason came up with a creative solution to accessing the area needing landscaping as well as good ideas on what to do with our problem hill. Jason also was very accommodating about answering all of our questions, coming to see us several times before the work was started. They built two Rockery walls transforming a very steep hill into level terraces for future plantings.
The contract was detailed so as not to leave questions regarding the work to be performed The on site crew was very pleasant, careful with our property and hard workers. We will use this contractor again if the need arises and refer Hone Landscaping to our friends.

Everything went perfect. They were very professional and showed up on time. They actually called me 2 weeks earlier than what was scheduled. It took them about 3 days to complete the work. This was the first time I had used their service and they tore out a quarter of my yard and put in a 5 foot rock wall. They also re-did the lawn.

Jason was very responsive to my inquiries and then came out and talked to me about what I wanted. He sent me a quote and then I asked him to come out again because I had been a bit rushed the first time and wanted to make certain he understood what I wanted. He explained what he was planning on doing based on what I had said the first time and he was right on. The work was done in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction. I highly recommend them!
They installed a new driveway, new front steps/pathway, changed landscaping in front and side yard, added lighting, and completely re-did backyard, including patio.

Jason and his team were very responsive, taking the initiative to make sure we were completely satisfied. It was a pretty amazing experience to watch his team build a level, two-tier rockery approximately 10 feet high in about 10 days. Money very well spent.

The team at Hone Landscape built a custom, two tier rockery for our front yard. In doing so, he expanded our front yard by approximately 30% in total square footage. They also installed a sprinkler system for our entire property. Not only did this require a significant amount of several types of rock, but also soil to back fill the enhanced area.

I cannot begin to describe how happy I am with Hone Landscape & Excavation. These guys are as good as it gets and so incredibly nice too. Jason gave us a bid well over a year ago. We waited on the massive project, but he was willing to come back and give us yet another free estimate. (The only thing that changed on his price was the cost of material – he didn’t charge us any more on the original bid other than that).

We ended up getting about 7 estimates, and it was clear that Hone was the easy choice. (The project included removal of two huge railroad tie retaining walls and replacing them with manorstone walls. Excavating the yard, putting in french drains, leveling the entire yard, removing a dead tree, installing a couple of gravel patios, putting in new flower beds, two staircases, a gravel pad for a garden shed and putting in sod).

It was awesome. Jason (the owner) responded for our request for an estimate and identified tentative project start dates during his initial visit. The written contract followed very soon via email. Jason, project foreman Jeremy, and landscape technician, Gustavo, arrived on time; project details were reviewed. They were friendly and highly professional. No time was wasted. The entire crew was knowledgeable about the project plans and details from start to finish. They left us with clear doable instructions for keeping our yard looking great from end of project forward. Key to this project for us was that both Jason and Jeremy listened to our needs and asked lots of questions. We felt very confident after our conversations with them, and at that point left things to them as the experts. We didn’t regret that for a moment. At the very get-go, I knew Jason was going to be my guy for the job. He helped me design the retaining wall so it was not only functional, but also elegant. I had several people come out for quotes, but Jason was the most reasonable as well as the most professionally prepared. Jason and his crew were awesome, they kept my wife up to date with their progress and even suggested minor tweaks to our plans, which in the end made everything tie together beautifully! Our home went from being the black mark on the neighborhood with its decrepit rotting fence and water running over the sidewalk from drainage problems to one of the best looking yards around. We were referred to Hone Landscaping by a neighbor in our development, who had had them construct some rockeries. We admired the work, and our neighbors spoke highly of Jason and his company. It was a considerable decision to reconstruct the entire back yard of my home. After receiving a number of estimates from various companies on the project it was an easy decision to move forward with Jason once we met. It was clear from the first time we spoke that his commitment to satisfying his customers and his quality of work far exceeded that of any contractor I had worked with in the past.

There were a number of different ideas and options to complete my large-­‐scale project; Jason’s professionalism and experience produced an amazing final product that far exceeded my expectations. I needed a significant amount of concrete removed, a large rotten retaining wall replaced and new useable yard created. Jason took the time to walk through the project many times with me to come up with a solution that created an amazing usable space surrounded by beautiful rockeries. We had pooling water in our backyard that was getting worse each year. We got tired of ripping the moss out of the grass and needed to solve the problem. We did a search online for drainage solutions and came across Hone Landscape & Excavation. The website was good and had a section that addressed drainage. We called and set up a consultation. Jason was easy to talk to and we felt he had a good understanding of what we wanted him to price out for us. The quote we got back was very detailed and professional. Considering all the work that needed to be done, we found the price to be quite reasonable. Jason was able to work us in early on his very busy schedule and we really appreciated that. His team was very capable and knowlegeable and easy to work with. We have an oddly shaped lawn and one member of his team stayed very late laying sod to make sure all the curves in the lawn were to our liking. The clean up was great. Even the neighbors commented on how well the clean up was done. From the start Jason was wonderful to work with. We needed a Basalt Rock wall structure & stairs installed at the front of our property. Jason had great ideas as to how we could accomplish our goals. Jason was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He listened to my ideas and went over the hill in question and walked us through what could be done in the back yard and how he could do it.
